Position Overview
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the grounds, building, and equipment of our Health Campus in a safe and effective manner to ensure the health, welfare, safety, and satisfaction of our residents, as well as organizing, developing, and assisting with the direction of the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the grounds, building, and equipment for the health campus.
- Make daily rounds to proactively identify and address maintenance, equipment, and safety concerns that could impact the health, welfare, safety, and satisfaction of our residents, families, and employees.
- Perform repairs as needed and/or appropriate on equipment, building, and grounds.
- Assist with the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal and state regulations.
- Assist with driving the health campus bus for required maintenance appointments or resident trips as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a large van or bus (up to 15 passengers) safely and efficiently.
- Meets all state requirements for transporting residents, including proper licensing and certifications.
