Area Manager, Management Operations Management

Position Summary

This role is responsible for leading the operational activities within the assigned area, ensuring the business plan is implemented, goals are communicated, and staffing and scheduling are managed to achieve facility objectives.

• Implement the business plan for the assigned area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals.
• Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others, determining corrective actions, and making recommendations to resolve issues.
• Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.
• Manage maintenance and installation of systems hardware and software by overseeing new installations or replacements, ensuring timely repairs, tracking inventory, and ordering system components.
• Troubleshoot system applications by working with the Information Systems Division and vendors, supporting the ongoing development of current and future applications.
• Demonstrate up‑to‑date expertise, applying it to develop, execute, and improve action plans, provide expert advice, and guide others in applying information and best practices to meet customer and business needs.
• Implement business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, carrying out necessary processes, monitoring progress, recognizing improvement opportunities, and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
• Model compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating them into plans, supporting the Open Door Policy, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes.
