Greenfield, Indiana | 3rd shift, 7 days on, 7 days off
Job Responsibilities- Performs and helps facilitate the completion of preventative and corrective maintenance for all power plant equipment.
- Coordinates all utility operations while on shift.
- Operates, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains systems and equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, pumps, and deionized water production trains.
- Utilizes the Utility Monitoring System to monitor, control, and trend performance of plant equipment.
- Completes preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
- Provides back‑up assistance for Wastewater Treatment Plant operations.
- Performs water chemistry laboratory analysis on plant systems and maintains chemical parameters.
- Investigates and assists with abnormal facility conditions as needed after hours.
- Follows all SOPs and maintains a safe working environment.
- Interacts professionally with facility staff as well as customers.
- Assist Utilities Supervisor.
- May work with potentially hazardous substances.
- Climbs ladders and works in confined spaces as necessary.
- Exposed to greases, oils, solvents, additives, and live steam.
- Relocation assistance available.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; trade school or college education preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of experience in power plant, chilled water plant, or utility operations.
- Boiler Operator certification preferred but not required.
- 1+ year of experience operating chillers preferred but not required.
- HVAC or chiller experience helpful but not required.
- 1+ year of monitoring, testing, and adjusting chemical inputs for boiler water feed preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
