Job Summary
This position is responsible for pulling, picking, and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility.
Duties And Responsibilities- Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
- Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
- Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
- Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
- Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
- Material handling of all products.
- Follow shipping work orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Highly motivated with good work ethics.
- Demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
- Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers.
- Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
- Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
- Strong problem-solving and math skills with capability to calculate square footage and batch size.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.
- Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions.
