Adecco is assisting a manufacturing client in Greenfield, MA with hiring a Maintenance Technician I. This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining production machinery and equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other production equipment. This is a hands‑on role supporting daily production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and requires flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts.
PositionMaintenance Technician I
Shift- 12-hour rotating shifts
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Day Shift: $25.00 per hour
- Night Shift: $27.00 per hour
- Repair and maintain production machinery and equipment including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance duties as prescribed by the CMMS, including greasing equipment, changing oil, cleaning filters, and general maintenance tasks
- Use and understand the CMMS to accurately catalog work completed and maintain inventory accuracy
- Communicate with shift leaders and production employees to understand daily maintenance needs
- Interpret production setups to accurately perform tooling
- Complete all maintenance checklists fully and accurately
- Clean, organize, and maintain parts inventory within the CMMS
- Assist shift personnel with tooling functions
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Make required entries into PDE
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with reliable transportation
- Ability to adapt and change work direction on short notice to accommodate business needs
- Knowledge of basic shop tools including grinders, mag drill, hammer drill, and micrometers
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and through email
- Strong basic math skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation
- Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions
- Ability to troubleshoot problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations
- Ability to operate drills, grinders, and other maintenance shop tools
- Welding experience or willingness to learn
- Willingness and ability to travel between plants or obtain parts as needed
- Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push or pull objects up to 250 pounds
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to routinely stand, sit, walk, hear, and speak throughout the shift
- Ability to reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and work in awkward or tight spaces
- Good close vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
