Job Summary

Support team members to satisfy required quality, safety, and production standards by performing the following duties: yellow light calls, changeover verifications, wire checks, movement of hot parts, maintenance work orders, scrap processing, containment of non-conformances, and with line side operator support. The Team Member must follow all safety and work policy requirements while performing job duties. Each Team Member must support job functions that will affect quality, safety, and cost metrics for their shift and department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - include the following:

• Ability to install tooling correctly (per Procedure Book)
• Has the ability to perform all Pokayoke checks (setting and verifying effectiveness)
• Correctly performs RPC (remaining piece check) after every job
• Correctly performs changeover preparation
• Ability to perform non-conformance containment
• Ability to correctly submit and follow up maintenance work orders
• Support team members on process troubleshooting during machine issues
• Ability to properly perform the non-conformance procedure
• Ability to correctly adjust oil and air
• Correctly performs movement of non-conformances in N/C cage
• Correctly sets prester
• Inspect work pieces on cold forming machines
• Ability to correctly set box stacker
• Fully understands the Kanban system
• Daily checks of empty washer cans and empty bowl table
• 4S+ Projects and Assistance
• Worn tooling Audits
• Support of safety/quality audits
• Replacement of new procedures/documents line side
• Ability to read setup sheet correctly and install tooling by setup sheet
• Tool number verification to set up
• Worn/Chip judgment
• Ability to understand the cause of nonconformance and the reason for the non-conformance
• Ability to make proper adjustments after determining non-conformance
• Ability to determine if a non-conformance is caused by man, machine, method, or material
• Ability to determine the cause of a non-conformance, make the proper adjustments, and notify the Area Leader of a non-conformance
• Assisting department management in setting and meeting Key Productivity Indicators (KPI)
• Understands the priority system and can self-manage to ensure there are not any incorrect shipments to customers
• Select and transport the required raw material from the material storage area via crane and position it on the wire de-realer
• Deliver finished products and Kanban to the next designated address
• Regular predictable attendance and the ability to work overtime and Saturdays
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications

• Six months of related experience and or training, a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE

SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. MATHEMATICAL

SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
