RN Nurse
- The Staff RN will assist in documentation, providing supplies, prepping patient for surgery.
- The Staff RN oversees CST's and Surgery Tech's and provides and documents care consistent with hospital, departmental, and unit policies/procedures/protocols.
- The Staff RN honors individuals’ right to privacy, dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
- The Staff RN collaborates with other members of the health team regarding patient care needs and responsibilities, and delegates, as appropriate.
- Demonstrates knowledge and technical skill necessary for providing competent, comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities including ability to give and follow instructions accurately.
- Provides positive, professional role model for others.
- Demonstrates ability to teach/instruct patients, families, and colleagues.
- Clinical Practice:
Implements the nursing process with all patients to whom assigned according to network standards, policy and procedure. Provides safe patient centered, compassionate, competent care utilizing nursing process, founded in science, within the scope of practice for the Registered Nurse. Models professional nursing ethical practice. Demonstrates application of all facets of the nursing process:
Nursing Assessment, Care Planning, Discharge Planning, Care Coordination, Delegation, and Evaluation of effectiveness of care. - Department/unit Accountabilities:

- Sees well, with correction, at a distance of at least 20 feet and up close.

MANDATORY LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION- CPR
- ACLS
- PALS
Registered Nurse (RN)
ADDITIONAL LECENSURE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- CNOR preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current license as a registered nurse with the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau
Mandatory Continuing
Education:
Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Corporate Compliance (including Confidentiality), Infection Control, and education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
- Participates in Basic Life Support training per American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards.
