Sample Management Technician
Job Description
Join a global leader in healthcare diagnostics and research advancement. As a Sample Management Technician, you will be a vital part of the sample management team, responsible for inspecting, receiving, and routing incoming client specimens, ensuring their integrity and viability.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain all samples in the appropriate environment during handling, processing, and storage to preserve their biological viability.
+ Receive inbound shipments and track samples prior to registration.
+ Register samples into various inventory management systems.
+ Retrieve samples from storage and package/ship them to global testing laboratories.
+ Perform de-identification procedures on samples to remove traceability to the patient.
+ Perform aliquoting procedures on samples as needed.
+ Consolidate samples in storage as necessary.
+ Support other sample management departments on campus.
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform all departmental and inter-departmental SOPs as written.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma or GED completion.
+ At least 1 year of sample management or warehouse experience.
+ Detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working independently or in a team.
+ Ability to lift 30+ lbs and handle dry ice.
+ Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Suite.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Science.
+
Experience with industrial freezers and dry ice.
+ Data entry and tracking process experience.
Work Environment
Located in Indianapolis, this fast-paced environment involves processing approximately 1000 samples per day. The role requires mostly standing and walking, with exposure to sub-zero freezers for sample storage. You will work independently with specific metrics to achieve but also collaborate with the team and management as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
