Are you ready to help Amazon deliver world‑class service in its transportation operations? Transportation Associates will perform trailer moves in the trailer yard, coordinate yard activities such as checking in trailers, traffic flow, and internal communications with operations; conduct yard audits; complete applicable driver training programs (Hostler, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) School, etc.); and operate multiple vehicle types based on business need (including but not limited to hostlers and day cabs) to support Amazon’s transportation network.

As a Transportation Associate you will:
- Make safety a priority by adhering to company rules and regulations. Follow and enforce safety measures and policies for all who operate vehicles on behalf of Amazon and for all who enter the yard, including vendors and senior team members.
- Perform various functions within the yard, support site operations teams, internal transportation field teams, and external carriers, as needed, to ensure all trailers arrive and depart on time with zero defects and to maintain workflow for buildings.
- Be professionally trained to operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on non‑public roads or in yard to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations.
- Learn Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and comply with company policies and procedures for those regulations, including size, weight, route designations, parking and trailer designations, violation and incident reporting, break periods, etc.
- Complete driver vehicle inspection reports on equipment and notify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
- Follow hostler and delivery schedules, track and report working hours and breaks in compliance with Amazon policy and federal and state regulations, obey all applicable traffic laws, and drive in accordance with weather and road conditions.
- Support the business on an as‑needed basis by serving as a peer trainer and/or working at nearby site locations within the area.
- Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck using approved equipment such as a pallet jack.

- Hold a valid and active driver’s license.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and ascend/descend stairs.
- Work 40 hours per week with overtime as required.
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Possess the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with diverse audiences.
- Experience building strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and outside vendors.
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Completion of a Career Choice Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Course.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Ability to follow and enforce safety measures and policies for all who operate vehicles on behalf of Amazon and those who enter the yard, including vendors and senior team members.
- A commitment to build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and outside vendors.

The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
