Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Location / Work Structure: Greenfield, MA | Onsite

Compensation: $140000- $160000

• Own and execute monthly close (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis)
• Oversee manufacturing accounting including inventory, standard costing, WIP, and cost variances
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AR, AP, and cash flow oversight
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Partner with operations and leadership on financial insights and issue resolution
• Support audit preparation and external requests as needed
• Improve accounting processes and support ERP/system clean-up if applicable
• Provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff (if applicable)

• 8+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of inventory, standard costing, and manufacturing financials
• Month-end close ownership and financial reporting expertise
• Advanced Excel skills
• ERP system experience (manufacturing-focused ERP preferred)

• CPA or CMA
• ERP implementation or optimization experience
• Prior interim/contract consulting background
• Audit or PE-backed manufacturing exposure

• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
• Strong communicator with non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to quickly assess issues and execute solutions
• Professional, steady presence during transition
