Biology, Adjunct Faculty Pool – Fall 2026
Location: Greenfield, MA |
Type: Adjunct/Part‑Time |
Salary: $1,512 – $1,826 per credit |

Adjunct Faculty positions for Biology I (cells and molecules) are available as part of an open pool for the Fall 2026 semester. Positions are semester‑to‑semester, part‑time, non‑benefitted, and paid per credit (courses range from 1‑4 credits).
General Duties- Provide instruction in assigned courses using approved modalities (in‑person, hybrid, online, or other non‑traditional modes).
- Conduct lectures and laboratory sessions.
- Prepare and maintain course syllabus consistent with departmental and college requirements.
- Utilize the college’s LMS to post syllabi and materials.
- Assess student learning through assignments, exams, projects, discussions, and other evaluative methods.
- Maintain accurate records and submit grades and reports promptly.
- Communicate regularly with students and be available for consultation by appointment.
- Verify enrollment and complete required reporting per federal, state, and college regulations.
- Attend required faculty meetings and mandatory trainings.
- Adhere to college policies, procedures, and academic standards.
- Maintain professional and respectful interactions with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Support the college’s commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and student success.
- Develop and maintain instructional materials suitable for the course curriculum.
- Include required syllabus components (course objectives, grading criteria, attendance expectations, student learning outcomes).
- Select textbooks and instructional materials in line with departmental practices and college procedures.
- Master’s degree in Biology or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and a range of academic abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to the community college mission.
- Equivalent foundation:
If you do not meet all qualifications, include an equivalency statement in your application.
- At least one year of successful experience teaching biology courses at the college level.
- Evidence of teaching experience in a community college.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion inside and outside the classroom.
Finalist candidates will be required to complete a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check as a condition of employment.
Required DocumentsOfficial academic transcripts relevant to the position will be required upon hire.
