Emergency Room Nurse

Job Summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) is responsible for providing rapid, high‑quality nursing care to patients presenting with emergent, urgent, and psychiatric conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity emergency department.

• Perform rapid triage and comprehensive patient assessments based on acuity.
• Deliver emergency nursing care for trauma, medical, surgical, and behavioral health patients.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments per provider orders and ER protocols.
• Continuously monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Manage multiple patients effectively while maintaining patient safety and quality care.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide patient and family education as appropriate during emergency encounters.

• 4 years of Emergency Room experience preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact, as applicable)
• Strong critical‑thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a high‑volume ER environment

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) – Required

Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
