Proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and other equipment, unpack bakery goods from the freezer, and display proper amounts based on production charts. Maintain cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department.

- Answer questions and recommend bakery items. Answer member calls and take special orders.
- Proof and bake unfinished bakery goods, following product handling information and using ovens and other equipment. Use production charts as a guide for production and display needs. Prepare products for the next day.
- Package freshly baked goods, including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed. Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations.
- Decorate special order or case product.
- Rotate and store bakery products following proper work methods for food safety, freshness, and product handling policies.
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments; rotate and store products following food safety and handling policies.
- Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards. Check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product policies.
- Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price check functions when necessary. Ensure items are accurately priced.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery, including ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, display racks, and tables.
- Operate and handle bakery equipment using proper work methods in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service–oriented environment preferred.
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Most time is spent moving about non‑hard surfaces. Occasionally need to bend, reach, push, or stoop.
- Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds; may need assistance for heavier items.
- Work is in a comfortable indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers.
- Frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position is $16.50 - $19.80 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
