Position Overview
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Greenfield, MA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Our Armed Security Officers at a government transportation location monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents. In this role, you will carry out routine patrols, respond to site needs, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $25.88 / Hour
Job Schedule: Tue 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM, Wed 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM, Thur 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM, Fri 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM
What You'll Do- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic‑related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including preparing clear activity and incident documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support security‑related screening and entry procedures in accordance with site policies and post orders.
- Maintain readiness to perform armed post responsibilities, communicate with local authorities and/or site contacts when needed, and support response efforts during emergencies, disturbances, or other unusual conditions.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
