Federated Innovation Team

The Engagement & Proposal Innovation Team is part of the overall KGSG Audit Innovation team that also is responsible for our overarching Audit Vision and Simulations as well as the global innovation pipeline, intake and federated innovation programs.

The team’s objective is to increase KPMG’s win and retention rates through a differentiated use of our audit technology suite and new Innovations. We leverage technology to demonstrate the value of a modern, innovative, and differentiating KPMG audit to our clients. We work closely with our global network of innovation leaders to empower global lead partners and their engagement and pursuit teams around the world to win audit clients and to drive and effective and efficient adoption of our KPMG (Digital) Audit strategy, approach and story.

We have achieved a win-rate of approximately 50% across nearly 300 proposals in the last four years and are expanding our collaboration with top-tier current engagements representing more than USD 250m annual revenue to deliver our technology and increase retention rates.

We leverage our KPMG Digital Audit framework, centred on our integrated KPMG Clara ecosystem. Our story focuses on how KPMG Clara empowers our people to deliver the most effective and quality driven audit, and how the different pillars of the KPMG Clara (group) audit workflow, client collaboration, digital risk assessment and analytics & automation & AU, are connected into ONE integrated global platform.

Continuous innovation is also at the heart of our mission, and we leverage the close collaboration with the top tier engagements and pursuits to provide feedback on future priorities and validate the initiatives under development.

The team’s main responsibilities include:

• is part of KGSG Audit Innovation and contributes to the global audit innovation agenda through a federated, multi member firm delivery model.
• Supports engagement, proposal, and audit innovation by incubating, developing and scaling innovative audit technology use cases in close collaboration with global teams and member firms.
• A core responsibility of the team is to operate and contribute to the federated innovation pipeline
  , including innovation intake, research, prototyping, and coordinated development across the KPMG global network.
• Focuses on AI and data driven audit innovations
  , including research, rapid prototyping, and solution concepts in areas such as GenAI, risk analysis + substantive testing, automation, etc.
• Key delivery areas include:
  • Research and exploratory topics
    , with outputs such as research notes, reusable notebooks, and white paper style documentation.
  • Prototyping and intake
    , developing early stage solutions and proof of concepts.
  • GSAT related activities
    , including tool assessments, governance support, and structured enablement.
• Team actively contributes to federated AI and technology initiatives
  , working with global product teams, methodology groups, and participating member firms to accelerate innovation while reducing duplication.
• As part of the innovation lifecycle, the Federated Innovation Team is responsible for
  structured knowledge transfer and handover of mature prototypes to product and build teams, including documentation, technical specifications, and code walkthroughs.
• Beyond technical delivery, the team supports
  innovation enablement and change activities

• Bachelor degree in computer science or any equivalent discipline with a strong computational focus

• Combines DSA rigor with applied AI engineering

• Bridges ML, data engineering, and distributed systems
