About the Role

To support plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), reporting to the Plasma Center Manager and Center Physician.

• Determine donor eligibility: manage informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing standing orders and arranging transport to emergency care.
• Refer unacceptable findings to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs and assist with medical or technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.
• Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and assess the need for additional evaluation by occupational health/ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate‑equivalent recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Current EMT‑Paramedic license (or equivalent) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Compliance with state basic IV therapy requirements.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

United States – Wisconsin – Greenfield. Full‑time regular time, exempt position.

Hourly wage range: $25.60 – $35.20. Additional benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, company holidays, wellness benefits, up to 80 hours sick time per calendar year, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
