Position Details
Department: 02230 AMG Edgerton – Nephrology.
Employment:
Part‑time, 24 hours per week.
Pay range: $21.85 – $32.80 per hour.
Monday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Tuesday: 11:30am – 4:30pm
Wednesday: 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Nephrology clinic, 6901 W Edgerton Ave, Aurora Health Center – Greenfield.
Travel required between AHC Edgerton and AHC Six Points, 6609 W Greenfield Ave.
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab‑related tasks including specimen collection and point‑of‑care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high‑quality, coordinated care.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice; or Medical Assistant (MA) with an accredited program or at least two years of recent full‑time experience.
- GED or high‑school equivalency diploma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, obtained within 45 days of hire.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 35lbs, perform sliding transfers, and use fine hand manipulation for IV insertion and related procedures.
Must wear protective clothing and equipment when exposed to body fluids or hazardous waste.
