Group Procurement enables our business by procuring all our Non-Trade Goods and Services.
As a Category Manager within the Procurement team, you will manage the ‘Packaging & Consumables’ category which includes Cash in Transit (CIT), Dry Goods and Tool of Trade. The annual value of your remit is north of $120M a year.
You will play a key role in leading, developing and delivering complex, high value and high risk category strategies, commercial cost optimisation activities; with a focus on cost containment, risk mitigation, responsible sourcing and value creation.
This position will see you deeply partnering with your business stakeholders to collaborate and deliver value – leading, developing and delivering, sourcing activities, advanced negotiations, scope/specification review, demand management and supplier relationship management within the Endeavour process.
The Category Manager confidently ideates, challenges and problem solves; driving category solutions from implementation through to end of life.
Leading a team of 1‑2 direct reports, you’ll develop and train your team of Category Specialists; embodying Endeavour’s Values and Ways of Work and leading by example.

- Understand the Endeavour business and cost drivers and in collaboration with business partners, create category strategies and execute sourcing events to deliver sustainable value.
- Challenge, influence and mobilise key stakeholders to deliver impactful change.
- Extract insights from complex analysis.
- Drive decisions through clear communication and presentations.
- Facilitate complex, high value, high risk, strategic sourcing activities and supplier negotiation.
- Anticipate and execute complex, high value, high risk, strategic contract‑based opportunities.
- Develop, implement and manage vendor performance metrics, documents and reporting as part of a Supplier Relationship Management plan (metrics, compliance, continuous improvement plans).
- Develop and maintain category plans for the categories.
- Drive Supplier Diversity, ESG priorities and business efficiency through category strategies and sourcing activities.
- Participate in projects as assigned by the S‑n Category Manager and/or the Head of Procurement.
Now let’s talk about you:
- Procurement Category Management (minimum of 7 years) experience.
- Proven experience in the packaging & consumables category.
- Have successfully developed, executed and managed category and sourcing strategies for large/complex categories, having regard to diverse procurement and responsible sourcing practices.
- Effective negotiator, communicator and people influencer, able to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
- Strategic thinker and self‑starter with commercial acumen, able to navigate complex environments with ease.
- Curious and willing to challenge whilst managing your time.
- Manage ambiguity well, seek clarity with confidence and speak up.
- Desire to learn, develop and grow within the team.
- Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Intermediate analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data to build actionable insights.
- Membership of a Procurement‑aligned body highly desirable.
- Enjoy using interpersonal and technical expertise to solve problems on paper and drive solutions through to implementation.
