Our engineers are uniquely placed to enjoy a career that sees them developing skills across all functional areas of maintenance – line, intermediate and base activity. Our team also has the opportunity to work not only on Jetstar fleet, but customer aircraft – A320/21, B787 and A320 Freighter.

Reporting to our Lead Line Planner, your primary focus in this role will be the planning of the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, undertaken by various Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMO's). You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance of the Jetstar Airways fleet and maintaining operational integrity.
As Maintenance Planner, accountabilities will include:
Assisting the Maintenance Operation Centre (MOC) in providing on‑going compliance control of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activity
Maintaining compliance control of all work packages issued via TRAX
Demonstrating commitment to CASA and other industry regulatory authorities that continued airworthiness management and company standards can be sustained by sound process and procedures as detailed in the Maintenance Operations Procedures Manual
Providing Engineering input to Jetstar Operations Control Centre (JOCC) decision making processes for disruption management
Assisting in the control of schedules with the Aircraft Allocations Coordinator
Investigating and reviewing serious incidents and assisting in the implementation of corrective actions
Maintaining accurate aircraft standards to support optimised planning outcomes
Analyzing technical, costing and planning issues with responsibilities for establishing standards, direction and ensuring technical / commercial / cost effective performance.
We’re on the hunt for somebody who has:
A detailed understanding of Aircraft Line / Base Maintenance and Operations
Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning
Ability to communicate & negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of TRAX, CAE Movement Manager and Microsoft Office applications
Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement
Able to build effective working relationships and thrive in a team environment
