This position is on first shift on a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off!
The selected candidate for this position will be joining the Greenlawn NY Operations team in the Manufacturing Engineering/Technical Operations group and will provide sustaining engineering, process development, and new process implementation across the manufacturing floor through hands-on problem solving, data analyses and application of engineering principles, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles to improve product flow and yields.
Responsibilities may include:
- Creating and maintaining product and process work instructions and improving the work instructions to reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
- Developing new processes and implementing changes in product flow to support the production line through the application of lean manufacturing principles.
- Analyzing defect data to identify areas to improve yield. Working with others to implement process improvements. Applying Lean Six Sigma tools to solve production problems and improve existing processes. Using poke yoke principles to prevent production problems.
- Participating in and documenting root cause corrective action (RCCA) using problem solving methodologies.
- Defining and specifying the requirements for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support current manufacturing operations and recommending changes for production line continuous improvements.
- Supporting the implementation of new automation assembly equipment including programming, process qualifications/validations and supporting tooling design.
- Researching emerging trends, techniques, methods, and current best practices to improve our processes and meet tomorrow's challenges.
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel at all levels, customers and suppliers.
- Experience reading and working with technical drawings, schematics, process sheets, and change orders.
- Experience working independently and being effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
- Lean manufacturing, Root Cause Corrective Action, and Sigma Green training preferred.
- 1-2 years electronics manufacturing process experience, whether as an intern or as part of college projects.
Full-Time Salary Range: $70828 - $120408

This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
