Job DescriptionJoin our Middle & Back Office Oversight team and play a key role in supporting LGIM’s global trading activities. You’ll help ensure our derivative operations and securities lending processes run smoothly, collaborating closely with outsourced providers, internal partners, and market counterparts. This is an opportunity to work in a fast‑paced environment where your analytical skills, attention to detail and drive for excellence can make a real impact.
What you’ll be doing- Managing daily retained derivative operations activities, including trade processing and securities lending, in line with market and regulatory deadlines
- Partnering with internal teams, outsourced providers and third parties to ensure timely, accurate and effective service delivery
- Supporting the oversight, review and completion of daily operational tasks with a focus on quality and client service
- Monitoring KPI and KRI performance and escalating service issues when needed
- Investigating and resolving operational queries, ensuring clear communication and timely escalation
- Identifying and recommending improvements across processes, controls and operating models
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of procedures, workflows and standard ways of working
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and participating in service reviews, working groups and industry forums
Who we’re looking for
- Experience with in asset management operations, particularly in derivatives and/or securities lending
- Knowledge of OTC and cleared derivative products (e.g., IRS, CCS, TRS, CDS, equity options)
- Confident ability working with trade lifecycle events, cashflow calculations and collateral processes
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as EMIR and MiFID, plus systems such as OSTTRA Markit and SWIFT
- Strong planning, organisation and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly in both written and verbal form
- A proactive, adaptable approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
