The Technology Application Manager for Sales and Distribution partners closely with senior business leaders to drive investment and large operational spend, spanning a large variety of projects, applications, suppliers and a delivery team of contractors.

With Technology undertaking an ambitious 5-year strategic plan, the Technology Application Manager will play an essential role in developing and driving the roadmaps that will underpin the business strategy. This role is accountable for aligning product delivery plans to enable the business to achieve their objectives & strategic outcomes – from concept through to operations. They guide and mentor cross‑functional squads and vendors to ensure features are delivered to commitments, and the products meet their service levels and are secure and resilient by design.

The Technology Application Manager is a true business partner and Senior IT leader, confident in communicating, influencing and negotiating with both business and technology stakeholders. They will bring program manager skills and a service delivery mindset, with responsibility for managing a team onshore and a larger team virtually, driving continuous improvement and innovation. The role will manage the quality of service and operational stability, including IT risk and compliance management, delivering service improvements, managing suppliers and providing input to service management strategies.

You’ll have:

• At least 7 - 10 years’ delivery experience as a senior IT business partner and IT manager of a portfolio of business‑facing applications.
• Expert stakeholder management and influencing skills across both business and technical functions, establishing trusted relationships.
• Strong people leadership skills and experience, embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ability to provide technical and commercial thought leadership across plan, build and run, ability to manage a complex and continuously evolving landscape.
• Experience managing a wide‑ranging set of stakeholders, applications, projects and suppliers.
• Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to solve, or lead the solving of strategic problems of high complexity on a large scale.
• Project / Programme management experience working across agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Solid experience in operational service management and service improvement.
• Experience managing substantial project and BAU budgets.
• Experience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and running RFPs.
• Able to work cross‑functionally and align business unit processes to enterprise business processes.
• Strong commercial and business acumen.
• Preferably airline technology experience.
• Familiar with Digital Booking Channels & Websites, NDC, CRM (salesforce), and reporting tools desirable.
