About This Role

The Offsite Registered Nurse – Infusion provides safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others.

• Pay: $68 - $74 Hourly
• Location: Greenlawn, NY
• Facility: Mount Sinai Health System
• Department/Unit: North Shore Gen Overhead - OFFS
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift

• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and professional practice.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
• Provide direct, continuous care for a specific caseload of patients.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and healthcare team members.
• Participate in performance improvement, nursing quality, and nursing research activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care.
• Conduct discharge planning from the day of admission to discharge or transfer.
• Maintain clinical competence and be responsible for professional growth and development.
• Treat co-workers, patients, and families with dignity and respect.

• Education:
  • Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred;
    Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience.
• Experience:
  • Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse with current registration in New York State.
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
  • BLS from AHA.
