About This Role

The Per Diem RN - Infusion Nurse provides safe, competent, quality care to patients in the Hematology/Oncology department, utilizing nursing theory and research. This role is ideal for nurses seeking flexible work arrangements while delivering specialized care.

• Pay: $70/hour
• Location: Greenlawn, NY
• Facility: Mount Sinai Health System
• Department/Unit: North Shore Gen Overhead - OFFS
• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Provide direct, continuous care for a specific caseload of patients.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Participate in performance improvement and nursing quality activities.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care.
• Conduct discharge phone calls on selected patients.
• Maintain clinical competence and professional growth.
• Treat co-workers, patients, and families with dignity and respect.

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred;
  Associate degree considered with relevant experience.
• Experience: Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice assigned.

  Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card; BLS from AHA.
