Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial goals. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including collections and reconciliations.

- Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

- Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related queries and provide support.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, particularly in month-end close and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

- Familiarity with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections processes.

- Experience in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
