Tax Accountant​/CPA

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant / CPA to join a growing public accounting team in Greensboro, NC. This role focuses on tax preparation, compliance, and advisory services for individuals and businesses. The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax knowledge, client service skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements in a deadline-driven environment.

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimize liabilities and achieve financial goals
• Research tax laws and ensure compliance with current regulations
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, filings, and strategic recommendations
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices as needed
• Assist with tax projections and year-end planning strategies
• Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation
• Collaborate with team members on complex tax engagements

• CPA license required (or actively pursuing CPA with relevant experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
• 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting preferred
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Experience with tax preparation software and accounting platforms
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client engagements
