Senior Tax Accountant​/CPA - Public Accounting

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant / CPA to join a growing public accounting practice in Greensboro, NC. This role centers on tax compliance, preparation, and strategic advisory services for a diverse client base that includes individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.

• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and business entities
• Deliver proactive tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and improve financial outcomes
• Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current laws and regulatory updates
• Communicate directly with clients regarding filings, compliance requirements, and advisory recommendations
• Respond to IRS and state correspondence, notices, and audit inquiries
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax projections
• Maintain organized digital and physical documentation in accordance with firm standards
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex engagements and technical matters

• Active CPA license required (or actively pursuing CPA with relevant tax experience)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's in Taxation preferred)
• Minimum of 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting systems
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines, especially during tax season
