Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing and fast-paced organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team on a long-term contract basis. This position is ideal for an AP professional who thrives in a high-volume environment, has strong Excel skills, and can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently

* Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents

* Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries

* Maintain vendor records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate

* Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers

* Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding items

* Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable

* Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and other departments to ensure timely invoice approvals

* Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Qualifications

* 3+ years of recent Accounts Payable experience

* Proven experience working in a high-volume AP environment

* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting/filtering, lookups, and data analysis

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

* Experience with ERP systems and accounting software preferred

* Manufacturing, distribution, or large corporate environment experience is a plus

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
