Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of one of our clients in Greensboro. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support the overall financial health of the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.

* Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.

* Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

* Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.

* Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.

* Prepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules.

* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

* Monitor fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules.

* Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

* Review financial data for accuracy and identify discrepancies.

* Support process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency.

* Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests from management.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

* 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.

* Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.

* Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $40.00 per hour
