Specific Responsibilities Would Include
Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable (AR) Intern will support the Finance team by assisting with day-to-day activities across Accounts Receivable, including Credit, Collections, and Cash Application. Based on current business needs, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in one or more of these functional areas while developing a strong foundation in financial operations, reporting, and customer account management. This internship provides valuable experience working in SAP, one of the world's leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, while building practical skills that prepare students for a career in corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily Accounts Receivable activities within Credit, Collections, or Cash Application, based on business priorities.
- Process transactions and maintain customer account information using SAP while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist with data entry, account maintenance, and financial transaction processing in SAP.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel and SAP to support financial analysis and operational decision-making.
- Monitor customer accounts and assist with account reconciliations and research of discrepancies.
- Support collections activities by tracking customer communications and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Assist with cash application activities, including payment processing, research, and resolution of payment variances.
- Participate in credit-related administrative tasks, reporting, and account reviews as assigned.
- Collaborate with Finance team members to support process improvements and departmental initiatives.
- Perform other administrative and operational support duties as needed.
- Must be a college undergraduate Junior, Senior, or Recent Graduate (Spring 2026) to be eligible to participate
- Ability to work on‑site in the Greensboro, NC for the full program from early‑September to December
- Ability to work a part‑time schedule of at least 20 hours per week
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including organizing, analyzing, and reporting on data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new systems, business processes, and financial concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
- Experience with SAP is a plus but not required.
