Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role will handle day-to-day financial activities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a smooth month-end close process. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger work, along with familiarity with major accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and coordinate timely payments to maintain accurate accounts payable records.

- Manage customer billing, apply incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support effective accounts receivable operations.

- Prepare and review bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure financial data remains accurate.

- Record journal entries and maintain general ledger activity in alignment with accounting policies and reporting needs.

- Assist with month-end close by organizing schedules, analyzing account activity, and helping finalize financial results on time.

- Use accounting platforms such as Net Suite, Oracle, Quick Books, or SAP to enter transactions, update records, and generate routine reports.

- Support ongoing process improvements within the accounting function and contribute to operational changes when needed.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues, clarify transaction details, and maintain strong financial controls. Requirements - Proven experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.

- Experience preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities.

- Familiarity with at least one major accounting system, such as Net Suite, Oracle, Quick Books, or SAP.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across high-volume transactions.

- Ability to organize workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple accounting priorities effectively.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
