We are seeking an experienced and driven Tax Director to join our CPA firm with a clear path to Tax Partner. This role is ideal for a high‑performing tax professional who combines deep technical expertise with leadership ability, business development interest, and a long‑term commitment to growing within a firm. The Tax Director will play a critical role in managing complex tax engagements, advising clients, mentoring staff, and contributing to the firm’s strategic growth while preparing for future partnership.

• Manage and review complex individual, partnership, S‑corporation, C‑corporation, trust, and estate tax returns
• Research and resolve advanced tax issues, providing practical and strategic guidance to clients
• Serve as a technical resource to partners, managers, and staff on tax compliance and planning matters
• Ensure tax engagements comply with federal, state, and local regulations

• Act as a trusted advisor to key clients, maintaining strong long‑term relationships
• Lead tax planning initiatives, including multi‑year strategies, entity structuring, and transactional planning
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding deadlines, issues, and opportunities
• Participate in client meetings and presentations alongside partners

• Lead, mentor, and develop tax managers, seniors, and staff
• Review work for quality, accuracy, and efficiency while providing constructive feedback
• Assist with staffing, workload management, and workflow optimization, especially during busy season
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture

• Contribute to firm initiatives related to growth, efficiency, technology, and service offerings
• Assist with practice management, including process improvements and best practices
• Support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of tax professionals
