To provide interns with practical client engagement experience in audit or tax, aiding in their career exploration within public accounting. - Tech Stack:
Microsoft Office suite
- Audit Testing:
Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets. - Financial Data Analysis:
Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data. - Report Drafting:
Help to draft management letter comments and the audit report. - Client Engagement:
Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
- Background:
Working toward CPA Exam eligibility with satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework and a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0. - Experience:
No specific prior professional experience required, as this is an internship role focused on gaining entry-level exposure and development within audit or tax functions. - Skills:
Solid technical accounting knowledge, effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and against deadlines. - Bonus:
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
