The Housing and Residence Life Administrative Program Assistant is a 20‑hour‑per‑week position that supports the daily operations of the department through a variety of administrative tasks, including data management, scheduling, correspondence, assisting with student conduct hearings, and office support. In select areas, the position provides functional supervision and guidance to Resident Assistants, monitoring performance, supporting documentation, and reinforcing departmental policies. The role collaborates closely with professional staff to ensure efficient operations and a positive residential experience for students.
WorkHours & Scheduling
Work hours are flexible with focus on student‑centered peak times. No more than 20 hours per week. The position is not eligible for remote or hybrid arrangements.
Key Responsibilities and Competencies- Maintain accurate data and records related to housing and residence life operations.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and events, and coordinate meeting logistics.
- Prepare and manage correspondence with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation and conduct of student conduct hearings.
- Support Resident Assistants through functional supervision, performance monitoring, and documentation.
- Provide general office support and assist with departmental projects as assigned.
Preferred Experience
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred: Experience working in student affairs or a related higher‑education environment.
