Clerk's Office within the Legislative Department
, supporting City Council and helping ensure the City's Boards and Commissions operate effectively.
This position serves as a central point of contact for board and committee liaisons, applicants, citizens, City staff, and elected officials. The successful candidate will help manage appointments and vacancies, prepare reports, maintain accurate records, coordinate meeting-related activities, and ensure information is communicated accurately and timely.

City Clerk – Boards and Commissions Coordinator
, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the City's Boards and Commissions program while providing administrative and legislative support to City Council.
- Manage the City's
Boards and Commissions application, appointment, and vacancy process
. - Monitor pending appointments and upcoming vacancies and regularly communicate this information to City Council.
- Serve as the administrator of Board
Manager
, the City's Boards and Commissions software. - Maintain accurate appointment, vacancy, and member information in Board Manager and on the City's website.
- Prepare weekly reports regarding applications received and current vacancies.
- Prepare monthly reports for City Council regarding current and upcoming vacancies.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Board and Committee Liaisons.
- Communicate effectively with elected officials, City staff, applicants, board members, and citizens.
- Administer Oaths of Office.
- Track appointments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare annual reporting for the North
Carolina Secretary of State's Office
. - Prepare and publish professional meeting minutes, summaries, and recommendations for meetings attended, including City Council and committee meetings.
