Position Overview
Academic Scheduler Primary Purpose of Position This position is primarily responsible for managing the special event schedules and processing requests for use of academic buildings on the campus of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. This position will also be responsible for the following:
- Assists with scheduling management of events through the 25
Live scheduling software, this includes but is not limited to, meetings, conferences, shows, orientation, fairs, speaking engagements, etc. for all registered student organizations, faculty & academic departments, staff & administration. - Must be knowledgeable of major event planning and logistics
- Understand the 25
Live scheduling software for daily scheduling use and gain knowledge of the system to train, educate, and assist customer use of the software. - Administrative responsibilities include supervision of student scheduling staff, as well.
Key Responsibilities and Related Competencies Knowledge:

- Demonstrates indepth knowledge of University Event Center scheduling procedures, academic space usage policies, and 25
Live workflows to process and manage campus space requests for students, faculty, staff, and administrators. - Applies established UEC policies and procedures to ensure accurate scheduling and appropriate use of academic spaces.
- Serves as a resource to customers and campus partners by explaining scheduling processes, timelines, and requirements within defined operational guidelines.
- Assist in facilitating 25
Live trainings for campus users. - Maintains working knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and institutional requirements impacting campus event scheduling.
- Engages with appropriate key stakeholders to ensure event success; including but not limited to building representatives, facilities staff, security personnel, etc.
- Coordinates with the Office of Information Technology to implement necessary upgrades, providing calendar reports to minimize disruption to the event and course calendar.
The University Event Center serves as the primary contact for all meeting and event planning, scheduling and coordination for on-campus activities at North Carolina A&T State University. The University Event Center (UEC) services students and their organizations, faculty and staff, administrative offices, and off campus entities in the direct scheduling and coordination of various events. The UEC staff works with a number of individuals via phone, fax and personal contact in the coordination of various events, including conferences, meetings, receptions, retreats, performances, concerts and other major events.
Essentially, this office manages the planning, coordination, execution and marketing of any and all events on the university campus.
