POSITION SUMMARYThe Student Admissions & Recruitment Assistant supports the Admissions Department by assisting with administrative tasks, recruitment initiatives, and event coordination. This role provides students with hands-on experience in higher education administration, student engagement, and professional office operations while contributing to campus recruitment and outreach efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Administrative Support- Assist with data entry, filing, scanning, and organization of admissions records.
- Prepare materials for recruitment events, virtual sessions, and student outreach initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive applicant and student information.
- Assist with planning and coordinating campus recruitment events, open houses, and virtual information sessions.
- Support outreach campaigns to prospective students through email, social media, or other communications channels.
- Help manage logistics for recruitment activities, including materials, event signage, and online coordination.
- Document recruitment events through photography, media, or written summaries.
- Provide information and guidance to prospective students regarding admissions processes, deadlines, and requirements.
- Assist with maintaining admissions databases, spreadsheets, and reporting documents.
- Help update office procedures, templates, and informational materials.
- Participate in departmental projects, initiatives, and campaigns as assigned.
- Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.
- Must be a current student enrolled in the federal work study program and in good academic standing.
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with campus staff and prospective students.
- Comfortable using office technology, Microsoft Office, and databases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Hours vary based on recruitment events, office needs, and student class schedules.
- Evening or weekend availability may be required for special events or outreach initiatives.
Hourly rate based on federal work study guidelines.
