The Testing Coordinator is a Federal Work-Study student employee who supports the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) in coordinating and administering accommodated testing for students with approved academic accommodations. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Accessibility Services, the Testing Coordinator assists with scheduling, preparing, administering, monitoring, and documenting accommodated examinations in accordance with students' approved accommodations and OAS procedures.

The Testing Coordinator serves in a supportive administrative role and does not determine, modify, approve, or deny student accommodations. All accommodation decisions and questions regarding disability-related accommodations are the responsibility of the Director of Accessibility Services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Testing Coordination
  • Assist with scheduling accommodated exams in accordance with OAS procedures.
  • Receive and organize examinations provided by faculty.
  • Verify that testing arrangements correspond with the student's approved accommodations.
  • Prepare testing spaces before examinations.
  • Ensure appropriate testing materials, supplies, and technology are available.
  • Communicate with faculty regarding receipt and return of examinations as directed by the Director of Accessibility Services.
  • Return completed examinations to faculty or designated personnel in accordance with established procedures.
Testing Administration
  • Proctor accommodated examinations in a professional, quiet, and secure environment.
  • Provide approved testing accommodations as outlined by OAS.
  • Monitor testing sessions to maintain academic integrity.
  • Track student arrival and departure times.
  • Accurately document start and end times for examinations, including approved extended testing time.
  • Follow procedures for students who arrive late, miss an examination, or encounter a testing issue.
  • Immediately report testing concerns, irregularities, or suspected academic integrity issues to the Director of Accessibility Services.
Confidentiality and Student Support
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student disability and accommodation information.
  • Handle examination materials and student records securely.
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and professional assistance to students.
  • Avoid discussing students' disabilities or accommodations with unauthorized individuals.
  • Refer questions regarding accommodations, documentation, eligibility, or changes to accommodations to the Director of Accessibility Services.
Administrative Support
  • Maintain accurate testing schedules and records.
  • Assist with maintaining organized testing files and documentation.
  • Enter or update testing-related information in the appropriate OAS system, as directed.
  • Assist with preparing reports and tracking testing utilization.
  • Help maintain an orderly and accessible testing environment.
  • Assist with general OAS projects and duties related to testing and accessibility services as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Currently enrolled as a Bennett College student.
  • Eligible for Federal Work-Study.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
  • Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with the supervisor.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, respect, and student support.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in an academic, administrative, testing, tutoring, or student support environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canvas, or similar technology.
  • Interest in disability services, higher education, student success, or educational administration.
