The Financial Analyst Intern at Cone Health provides a hands-on opportunity to support strategic initiatives across Operational departments such as Imaging Services, Operative Services, and Nursing Departments. Interns will contribute to operational workflows, assist with data analysis, and assist with analyzing actual to budget variances. This role is ideal for students seeking exposure to healthcare operations, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date and orientation on Monday, June 1, 2026. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data related to program performance, workforce trends, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with operational departments on monthly performance, initiatives, and special projects.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Assist with database management, reporting, and documentation of key processes.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Become efficient in Office Connect and prepare leaders for upcoming budget preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or project lead.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in healthcare, nonprofit work, or business finance.

  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.

  • Internal workflow within respective departments, asking clarifying questions and learning processes.
  • Actively participates in all elements of the internship programing, participating in hands on.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required:

    Must be in process of a college-level degree in a related field and a student in good standing. Applicants must be at least the age of 16 to be employed as Cone Health High School-level interns (work-authorization required).
  • Junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
