Sr Business Applications Analyst

As a Sr. Business Applications Analyst, you will play a crucial role in delivering technical data support and innovative solutions for Actuarial financial data systems and Marts. You’ll identify business requirements and solutions related to the support of the specific business area/function. Perform appropriate analysis and logic implementation to ensure the quality and accuracy of data/applications delivered.

• Serve as the lead for multiple application areas, including data definitions, usage and file structure, technical code structure, business rules, and requirements governance for actuarial systems.
• Establish interdepartmental relationships to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Lead as project manager for development or enhancement of decision support applications, including analysis, reporting, and data interpretation.
• Develop data applications, extracts, reports, or analyses by providing input to business requirements, reviewing functional and technical specifications, and participating in user acceptance testing.
• Plan and act as a key liaison with business areas during development and implementation.
• Develop decision support solutions, including medical and pharmacy claim financial data builds, data extracts, reports, data mart tables, views, and analyses.
• Perform monthly data refreshes, validations, and QA checks to support executive financial reporting.
• Provide analytical support for departmental, divisional, and corporate projects to accomplish business goals.
• Ensure financial granular detail data is auditable, snaps hotted, and stored for quarterly and year‑end audits.
• Monitor changes in company and external vendor data that affect departmental processes, recommend actions, and implement changes to actuarial systems and data marts.
• Provide technical leadership and application expertise to business project teams and non‑project activities, ensuring full understanding and execution of assignments.
• Provide detailed configuration expertise to customers and business partners, including verbal, written, and electronic communication and presentations.
• Offer consultative support in analyzing business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications to develop efficient enterprise solutions.
• Monitor configuration implementations to ensure standards are followed and recommend improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5 years of experience in related field, or 7 years in lieu of degree.

• 5 years of SQL Development/Analysis experience – Highly Preferred.
• 5 years of healthcare claims data experience – Highly Preferred.
• Healthcare data analytics experience with Government and Commercial lines of business – Highly Preferred.
• Facets experience a plus.
• Experience leading project teams required.
