Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Estimating Manager for our Glass/Glazing department. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our estimating department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our projects. If you have a passion for the glazing industry and a knack for leadership, this role is for you.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the estimating team in the preparation of budgets, estimates, and cost plans for projects in the glazing industry.
- Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best prices and quality.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that estimates are accurate and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to create accurate estimates.
- Use your expertise in the glazing industry to provide guidance and advice to the team.
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the estimating department.
- Attend meetings with clients, architects, and consultants as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure our company remains competitive.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the glazing industry.
- Proven experience as an estimating manager or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of the glazing industry, including materials, labor, equipment, and technology.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent numerical skills and the ability to create accurate estimates.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as estimating software and MS Office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
