Safely perform a variety of construction duties to assist highway, utility, grade crews or on-site plant locations;
Prepare ground surfaces for the road building process and remove debris from the construction path;
Operate ground compactors, level out and rake dirt, set string markers, and place fencing/barricades as needed;
Prepare manhole covers, openings and water lines; insert risers as needed;
Walk behind paver machine to shovel and rake asphalt; level asphalt; dig out manhole covers and water valve boxes;
Clean asphalt off tools and equipment after each work day; assist with operating equipment if trained (paver, roller, backhoe, water truck)
