• End Date: September 14, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential to extend)
• Setting: Hospital (628 beds) - adult inpatient cardiology coverage
• Shift: Night shifts, 12-hour nights (overnight cardiology coverage)
• Schedule: Varies by day (M-Th 8p-6a, Fri 8p-7a, Sat 5p-7a, Sun 5p-6a)
• Patient Population: Adults
• EMR: EPIC (EPIC experience preferred)
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
• Hourly Pay Rate: $298/hr
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,250-$6,700/week

• Board Certification in Cardiology (Cardiologist)
• Active and unrestricted North Carolina medical license
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing Cardiologist (hospital-based experience preferred)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• Ability to provide bread & butter cardiology care (non-procedural; no invasive procedures required)

• Provide overnight cardiology coverage for adult inpatients in a hospital setting (locum tenens cardiology coverage)
• Perform evaluation and management (E&M) services for cardiology consults and admissions
• Respond to cardiac emergencies and provide timely consultations to ED, ICU, and hospitalist teams
• Document patient encounters and care plans using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and high-quality patient care
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, specialists, and support services regarding patient status and follow-up

• Work in a large hospital with adult inpatient cardiology responsibilities
