Minimum Qualifications
- Terminal degree from an accredited institution suitable for full‑professor rank; significant leadership experience outside academia acceptable if demonstrating commitment to higher education.
- Ph.D. in agriculture, environmental sciences, or related discipline.
- At least three years of significant senior leadership and administrative experience.
- Experience as chief officer (e.g., dean, chair), president, or similarly ranked senior management position.
- Evidence of working with agricultural extension.
- Excellent budget management skills.
- Successful record of fundraising.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and knowledge of holistic student success.
- Demonstrated success in extramural research funding, high‑quality education and curriculum design.
- Evidence of formal leadership development.
- Strong record of effective organization and administration skills.
- Evidence of working across disciplines outside of agriculture and environmental sciences.
- Commitment to student learning and a culture that values diversity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of academic leadership and administrative experience.
- Strong record as a visionary, dynamic and collaborative leader.
- Evidence of positioning the University’s assets and capabilities to advance the College, expand research, and elevate student success using an evidence‑based, data‑informed approach.
- Skills and knowledge related to partnering with University Advancement.
