Position Overview
Facilitate engaging STEM learning activities using the Verizon Innovative Learning curriculum, including design thinking, augmented reality, 3D printing, coding, and other next‑generation technologies. Serve as a mentor and positive role model to students, encouraging exploration, collaboration, and problem‑solving. Guide students through project‑based learning modules and support group work. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that supports equitable participation for all students.
Collaborate with the program director, site staff, and other instructors to ensure smooth program delivery. Support classroom management and student engagement during in‑camp activities. Assist with preparation and organization of instructional materials and technology resources. Participate in pre‑program training and meetings as required. Provide feedback on student progress and help document attendance and participation.
- Some college experience.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5 Years of Experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to complete training).
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience working with youth (camps, tutoring, mentoring, after‑school programs).
- Ability to work the full duration of the camp schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive environment for minors.
Driver's License.
Work HoursMonday - Friday 8:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m.
