Position OverviewThe Aggie Academy Elementary Teacher plans and delivers instruction designed to meet the individualized educational needs of students based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Teachers are expected to implement innovative and engaging instruction to enable students to learn subject matter and skills that contribute to their educational and social development. Maintaining a structured classroom environment that promotes inquiry‑based learning, STEAM, and Engineering Design Processes is central to the curriculum.
Teachers and staff actively participate as members of professional learning communities with colleagues, faculty from the College of Education, and community partners.
This is a pooled position that will be reviewed year‑round. Multiple individuals will be selected from this posting.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
- Implement innovative and engaging instructional strategies.
- Create a classroom environment that supports inquiry‑based learning, STEAM, and Engineering Design Processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues, faculty, pre‑service teacher candidates, and community partners.
- Co‑teach, plan, support, and work collaboratively with others as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Master’s preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
- Functional computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Google Classroom, and Apple Classroom.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Elementary Certification (K‑5).
- 3–5 years of classroom teaching experience.
- Special Education (SPED) or Advanced Learner (AG) certification or experience.
- Apple Teacher Certification.
- Experience co‑teaching, planning, and supporting colleagues and pre‑service candidates.

This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. Employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina within a 2‑hour commuting distance of the duty station.
