Position Overview

In a partnership between North Carolina A&T State University and The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, the Next Gen Post-Doctoral Fellow will conduct research in support of the N.C.A&T Aggie Academy and the Center of Excellence for Educational Equity Research in the areas of Leadership in Education and Educator Preparation.

The post‑doctoral fellow will also participate in teaching and mentoring graduate students.

The mission of the forthcoming Center of Excellence for Educational Equity Research is to advance research to inform educational policies and practices for greater equity in K‑12 and higher education contexts. The Center’s research and professional learning programming will also inform teaching, leadership, and counseling practices to create anti‑racist and culturally sustaining learning environments for all learners.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The mission of the College of Education is to prepare highly skilled, culturally responsive and sustainable educators, leaders, and counselors who create, use, and share knowledge on equity, access, and advocacy in local, state, national, and global communities.

Minimum Requirements

A doctoral degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field. Skills include critical thinking, time management, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Availability of Remote or Hybrid Work Arrangement

This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C.A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2‑hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
