Part-Time Instructor | Chemistry

Position Overview

Part‑Time Instructor, Chemistry (semester‑based). The position is part of the Department of Chemistry. The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced level courses. Responsibilities include teaching courses (face‑to‑face and/or online), attending training and review sessions, providing academic advising, supporting student organizations, participating in program development and assessment, and cooperating with faculty and staff.

• Teach introductory and advanced chemistry courses (face‑to‑face and/or online).
• Attend training sessions and course review meetings.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Support student organizations.
• Participate in program development and assessment.
• Work cooperatively with faculty and staff within the department and university.

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or closely related subject with at least 18 graduate credit hours.
• 1‑3 years of teaching experience at the university or community college level is preferred.
• Eligible to work in a non‑remote or hybrid setting consistent with university and state policies.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States (as evidenced by a DD‑214 or equivalent for veterans).
