Assistant/Associate Professor Food & Nutritional Sciences

Primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in food and nutritional sciences; developing a research program in food and nutrition and securing external grants; advising graduate and undergraduate students, participating in curriculum development; collaborating with faculty on research and creative scholarship activities; serving on departmental, college and university committees and participating in other academic functions. This is a 9-month tenure track position.

Minimum Requirements
- Must hold a Doctorate in Food Science or Nutritional Science or a closely related field with a focus on food biochemistry. Teaching experience with strong technology skills in classrooms, a record of scholarly achievement, and grant writing experience are essential.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- Minimum of 3 years teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred. The ideal candidate will bring interdisciplinary expertise that bridges food science and nutrition and have experience teaching graduate and undergraduate courses (such as food microbiology and bio-technology, food safety and sanitation, risk assessment, food protection and defense).
