Position Summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders ( UNC CEED ), established in 2003, is seeking candidates for a fixed-term Research Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychiatry. The candidate will dedicate the majority of their time to research, specifically pursuing an active program of externally funded research (K- or R- level or equivalent) and actively and effectively pursuing and achieving publication in appropriate scholarly venues.

Additionally, the successful candidate will offer a rich training environment for PhD students and post-doctoral fellows along with training and supervision of behavioral health trainees (including clinical psychology interns and psychiatry residents). This role also includes lectures to medical students and trainees in psychology, psychiatry, pediatrics, and other specialties. They will participate in the CEED Summer Research Fellow program, mentoring promising junior investigators in the field.

Clinical responsibilities may include assessment and treatment services to children and families in inpatient and outpatient settings. We are seeking a candidate to contribute to the future vision and direction of CEED , who is passionate about advancing the science of eating disorders.
